Who we’re looking for
Reporting to the Manager- Maintenance, The Superintendent – Planning & Improvement will be responsible for leading and developing the Fixed Plant Planning and Improvement department to implement the maintenance business process.
You will take an active leadership role in the development and coaching of the Planning and Improvement team to ensure they are competent and motivated to implement current systems, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities:
- A comprehensive maintenance plan for Fixed Plant Maintenance (FPM) Operational Superintendents based on best practice philosophies and consistent with the Newcrest Work Management System
- Zero based budget build ensuring stakeholder engagement to deliver effective maintenance of the fixed plant infrastructure.
- Deliver improvement portfolio. Engaging with key operational stakeholders to enable asset efficiencies.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements relating to FPM Work Management System.
- Reviewing the long-term maintenance strategies for the Fixed Plant infrastructure regularly, ensuring alignment with NML requirements and initiating stakeholder engagement where required
- Reviewing FPM performance (Budget) on a monthly basis providing breakdown overview for Operational Superintendents.
- Measure and review the delivery and quality of work package and approval execution (Work Management System)
You will also possess the following:
- Qualification in relevant discipline – Fixed Plant Maintenance (Trade or Degree)
- Demonstrated success in leading a production-orientated group of maintenance and/or production personnel.
- Significant Experience/Knowledge in FPM infrastructure both surface and UG - Milling, Crushing and Conveying, Pumping, Ventilation
- Knowledge in Microsoft Project Planning/Scheduling large scale shutdown activities
- Knowledge in SAP (Zero-based budgeting)
