Who we’re looking for
Reporting into the Manager Maintenance, this position is responsible for preparing the primary maintenance and capital forecasts, and overseeing improvements to maintenance tactics. Compliance to and coaching teams in the Newcrest Maintenance Business Process and Shutdown Business Process, also being able to identify and implement business improvement aligning with Newcrest’s Asset Management principals.
This is a FIFO full time role from Perth on a 8days on 6days off roster.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Review Asset Life Cycle Plan and future work to confirm scope is aligned with tactics.
- Plan Maintenance using Task List / Standard Job, Modified Task list or Directly into work order.
- Confirm accuracy of priority, estimates, materials, job instructions and other planning information.
- Sequence the individual orders and operations / tasks by the hour for the maintenance event.
- Plan urgent unscheduled maintenance process
- Schedule urgent unscheduled maintenance process
- Supporting the Safety Management System ensuring a safety-first work culture
- Ensuring adequate pro-active monitoring to maintain a safe work environment
To succeed in this role, you will be safety focused, self-motivated and have strong time management and people leader skills. You will have a strong understanding on integrating business improvements and building a team that provide insights in a forward-looking direction.
We are looking for a strong communicator and influencer and someone who is familiar with working in a highly collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on innovation, best practise and leadership. You will enjoy working in a team environment to ensure that the mining process and maintenance activities align. You will value innovation and continuous improvement.
In addition, you will ideally possess:
- Trade or Engineering qualifications as well as sound experience in maintenance planning and scheduling activities for fixed plant equipment
- Demonstrated work management experience, preferably in the Mining and Minerals processing, Oil & Gas or heavy industries
- Intermediate or Advanced usage of MS Project essential
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, Excel and Word essential
- Ability to communicate effectively (Verbal and Written) at all levels
- Ability to run meetings with key stakeholders
- Attention to detail
