We are now recruiting for the position of Senior Analyst – Business Finance Analysis & Reporting, based at our Brisbane office, supporting the Lihir Gold Operation in Papua New Guinea.
The Senior Analyst – Business FA & Reporting role is crucial in providing commercial business partnering support to Operational Departments, with a key focus on business planning, cost analysis, forecasting, performance reporting, governance, business improvement and capital management.
Our ideal candidate will likely have 5+ years of relevant work experience essential with experience in Business Analyst roles in large extractive industries (mining, processing, oil & gas), particularly partnering with Operational teams to derive commercially sound and practical outcomes for the Site and influence key business decisions.
Required Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications (essential & desirable):

Relevant tertiary qualification (essential): Bachelor of Commerce (Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar), Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Business Management.

Proficient in key ERP and reporting systems including SAP, Power BI and TM1 (Planning & Analytics) (highly desired).

Strong active listening & and interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & and training.

Experienced with the application of IFRS, US GAAP (desirable), Sarbanes Oxley Act (desirable).
