As our Project Director you’ll provide leadership and direction to our project teams being ultimately responsible for the delivery of Data Centre Projects through the project cycles from initiation, planning and design, execution and handover.

Here you’ll work with design and engineering, planning authorities, principal contractor, equipment vendors, internal and external stakeholders to plan, direct, and manage the data centre development to meet the organisations objectives.

You’ll be responsible for the following areas:

  • Culture and Leadership
  • Safety Leadership
  • Project Planning
  • Risk Management
  • Cost & Commercial Management
  • Quality Control
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and an ability to lead and motivate and align multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of Data Centre Development in NSW with experience with all authorities required for Data Centre authority approvals and connections
  • Capacity to manage complex data centre construction projects and in-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, best practices, building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities, foster a collaborative and productive work environment, and maintain the respect and engagement of the workforce
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools
  • Ability to interpret budgets, schedules, including final forecast cost estimation, cash flow management, and assess change order requests from consultants, general contractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and sub-projects concurrently

Your proven commercial experience will see you bringing:

  • 10+ years’ experience in Data Centre or mission critical project or construction management
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or construction industry related qualification
  • Project Management qualifications/certification/experience in Prince2, PMP or similar
  • Experience working for Principal Contractors or in client-side construction project management will be highly regarded
