Description

At Northrop Grumman Australia, our work contributes to some of the nation's most important Defence capabilities. As part of the MQ-4C Triton program, you'll play a critical role in ensuring aircraft, tooling and equipment are available when and where they're needed to support operational success. This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing logistics team, influence continuous improvement initiatives, and make a tangible impact within a complex Defence environment.

Your role:

As Supply Operations Lead, you'll lead a team responsible for warehouse, inventory, distribution and tooling operations supporting the Triton program. You'll ensure critical assets are received, stored, maintained and delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with Defence and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with Defence stakeholders, maintenance teams and suppliers, you'll drive operational excellence, develop your team, manage inventory performance, coordinate freight activities, and identify opportunities to improve logistics processes across the program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of warehousing professionals, including workforce planning, training, performance management and quality oversight.
  • Managing inventory, stock accuracy, warehousing operations and distribution activities to support Triton maintenance and operational requirements.
  • Overseeing receipt, storage, inspection, picking, packing and dispatch of aircraft and non-aircraft parts.
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound freight movements and supporting complex logistics activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Managing tooling, ground support equipment (GSE) and calibration activities to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintaining compliance with Defence, export control, warehousing and safety requirements, including ITAR obligations.
  • Driving governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing and distribution functions.
  • Building strong relationships with Defence personnel, suppliers, freight partners and internal program teams to achieve operational outcomes.

About you:

You're a people-focused logistics professional who enjoys leading teams, solving complex operational challenges and delivering exceptional customer outcomes. You thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and bring a strong understanding of warehousing, inventory management and supply chain operations.

You'll bring:

  • Experience leading warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations, ideally within Defence, aviation or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing inventory, distribution and warehouse compliance activities.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with Defence, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Defence logistics systems such as MILIS and CAMM2.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an ADF NV1 Security Clearance.
  • Dangerous Cargo Handling Certification (desirable).
  • Current Forklift Licence (desirable).

Join a team where your expertise helps sustain a critical Defence capability, your ideas are valued, and your professional growth is supported. At Northrop Grumman Australia, you'll be empowered to solve complex challenges, collaborate with talented professionals and contribute to work that protects Australia's future.
