Your Role:

As the Technical Project Officer​within theCapability Development team, you willemploycutting edgeEngineering outputs using contemporary design processes to developaircraftcapability improvements, resolve key obsolescence items and modernise the RAAF C-27J Fleet. Within this role, you willprimarilybe accountable for:

• Drafting Engineering outputs in the form of Engineering reports, Engineeringinstructionsand Engineering Drawings to meet customer driven outputs

• Employ Engineering assessmentand judgementto develop modifications bespoke to theaircraft

• Assessing,reviewingand providing feedback on Engineering artefacts developed under the DefenceAviation SafetyAuthority MDO21J authority

• Working with both Engineers and Project Managers to provideguidance and task mentoring for assigned modernisation projects

• Develop project and certification plans to support the development, certification, installation and testing of new and/or upgraded Avionics systems

• Support engineering workflow and assigned tasks in coordination with the customer’sorganisational priorities

• Provide inputand Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICA) on the platformtomaintainC-27J configuration, technical and operational publications

About You:

To be successful with this position, you will have:

• Degreeor Technical Competenciesn Aerospace Avionics and/or Electrical Electronic Engineering,orarelatedexperience

• Experience withtheapplication ofcivil and militarytechnical standards, principals, theories,conceptsand techniques

• UnderstandingofaviationConfiguration Management concepts utilised by ADF and/or Civil Operations

• Projector SystemsEngineeringprocessesandexperiencemanagingprojectsand understanding of Project or Systems Engineeringprocesses and tools
