We’re looking for a Technician to join the team in Horsham, Victoria. Our innovation centre delivers canola varieties for key global Nufarm markets and utilises a broad range of technology.

Reporting to the Lab Manager you will undertake technical activities associated with the Doubled Haploid (DH) Laboratory at Nufarm Seeds cutting edge Innovation Centre in Horsham. This role is a practical, hands-on position within a laboratory environment, supporting daily operational tasks.

How You’ll Help Us Grow

• Perform routine laboratory tasks in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
• Follow laboratory protocols to subculture plant embryos and transfer to plant growth mediums for seed production under the direction of the Lab Manager.
• Assist with projects associated with laboratory duties.
• Undertake occasional glasshouse duties including plant bagging, harvesting, seed handling, and weighing.

• Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Enjoys hands-on, process-driven work and takes pride in completing tasks accurately and consistently.
• Comfortable undertaking repetitive tasks within a structured work environment.
• Willingness to learn new processes and contribute across different areas of the program to broaden skills and support the wider team.
• Ability to work independently when required while contributing positively within a close-knit team environment and building strong working relationships.
