It’s official. We’re the #1 best place to work in Agriculture, Mining and Utilities awarded by @FinancialReview and @Inventium 2023

Nufarm. Evolving Ag.

Nufarm is a global crop protection and seeds technologies company that helps farmers and businesses meet the global challenges of food, feed, fibre and fuel production.

Whether it's commercialising the world's first plant-based omega-3, launching precision agricultural solutions, unlocking biomass oils for more sustainable fuels and fast-moving consumer goods, developing innovative crop protection solutions or delivering the crop and seed technologies farmers depend on every day, Nufarm is evolving with agriculture to drive value for customers.

Your Future, Fueled by Innovation

Based at our Pipe Road Major Hazard Facility in Laverton North, this is an opportunity to join a site that operates complex manufacturing assets where reliability, safety and operational excellence are paramount.

As our Electrical & Instrumentation Shutdown Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in planning and coordinating shutdowns, turnarounds and major maintenance activities across a high-risk industrial environment. Working alongside tradespeople, contractors, engineers and operations teams, you'll ensure critical work is executed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to production.

How You’ll Help Us Grow

  • Developing detailed shutdown scopes, schedules and work packs for electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities.

  • Coordinating materials, spare parts, contractor resources and specialist tooling to ensure shutdown readiness.

  • Supporting safe execution through robust planning of permits, isolations, JSEAs, LOTO requirements and regulatory compliance activities.

  • Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and HSE teams to align shutdown plans and priorities.

  • Raising purchase requisitions and coordinating suppliers to support shutdown delivery.

  • Monitoring shutdown progress, managing schedule updates and supporting scope changes during execution.

  • Providing onsite support to trades and contractors during shutdowns to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.

  • Participating in post-shutdown reviews and capturing lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.

Could This Be You?

You thrive in complex industrial environments where safety, reliability and planning excellence are critical. Whether your background is in mining, oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, manufacturing or Major Hazard Facilities, you understand what it takes to deliver safe and successful shutdowns.

You'll bring experience coordinating maintenance activities, contractors, permits and resources, combined with strong planning and stakeholder engagement skills. An Electrical or Instrumentation trade or engineering background, along with exposure to CMMS systems and shutdown planning, will set you up for success.

Most importantly, you're proactive, organised and take pride in ensuring critical maintenance work is delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

If you want to be a part of a thriving, supportive environment and are inspired by the prospect of being a part of something bigger, we’d love to hear from you. Nufarm is proud to be recognised as a Top 10 endorsed employer of choice for all woman by Work180.
