Based in Laverton North, we are looking for a Synthesis Operator to join the 2,4 D Manufacturing team at Nufarm. You will have the opportunity to work within a fast paced agricultural chemical plant producing our key products to meet production requirements. This role operates on 12 hour rotating day/night shifts of 4 days on, 4 days off with very attractive benefits.

• Operating plants efficiently, to schedule and to cycle times
• Effectively following supervisor instructions with relation to plant organisation, process control, quality non-conformances and improvements
• Reporting any plant or equipment faults readily to the Maintenance team using the CMMS work request system
• Keeping equipment clean and free of foreign matter to ensure reduced potential for cross contamination
• Managing safe shutdown and start-up of all equipment in the Herbicide, Brine, Chlorination, Distillation and any other equipment associated with the process
• Ensuring process instructions are followed to ensure consistency and timely reporting of any non-conformances in product and packaging
• Ensuring all safety regulations are followed and that necessary PPE is worn at all times
• Immediately reporting any safety incidents or hazards
