Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road MHF manufacturing facility, we are looking to engage an experienced and results oriented Process Engineer to join the 2,4D Synthesis Team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing process improvement projects as well as supporting day to day operations within the Pipe Rd site.
This role will see you monitoring plant performance, ensuring we operate within defined parameters with a focus on continuously improving on safety, quality and capacity.

Be part of building a better Nufarm
- Oversight of operation of the manufacturing plants under the 2,4D department.
- Provision of technical expertise and knowledge to assist in day-to-day troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Implementation of improvement strategies including the preparation of business cases for raising of capital expenditure requests.
- Analysis of plant data to develop recommendations in line with business needs.
- Project scoping including development of conceptual design.
- Monitoring of plant reliability and implement improvement programs in collaboration with Maintenance and Reliability teams.
- Active participation in Management of Change (MOC), New Product Introduction (NPI), Unusual Incident Report (Unusual Incident Report) or IR (Injury Report).
- Instigate and facilitate root cause analysis to investigate incidents of non-compliance relating to plant performance, safety, and quality with support from Formulations Process and Production Engineers.
- Understand the site environmental targets and limits, promote understanding, and ensure compliance across the three plants.
- Subject Matter Expert on “Lean Tools” (5S, TPM, RCA, etc.)
- Subject Matter Expert on "Lean Tools" (5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), etc.) for area
What do you bring?
This role would suit a degree qualified Chemical Engineer with demonstrated extensive experience in a Process Engineering role, ideally in a chemical or FMCG manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent investigative and analytical skills with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Demonstrated technical expertise and the ability to implement change are pivotal for success in the role.
