Based in Laverton North at our Pipe Road chemical manufacturing facility, we’re looking to engage Project Engineers with E&I, Mechanical or Process experience within our Project Management Team. In the role you will be accountable for the activities and coordination of the project scoping, preliminary and detail design, cost estimation and execution plan of capital projects and act as subject matter expert in your field.

How You’ll Help Us Grow

  • Complete tender process for all projects to ensure all resources (materials and contractors) are engaged within budget and timeframes
  • Prepare plans, resources and contractors for all assigned CAPEX projects
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise all contractors for each project assigned
  • Develop and define process engineering design requirements to support safe, efficient, and compliant system and equipment design.
  • Conduct reviews and validate project installations and all required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with government, health & safety, environmental, equipment integrity and maintainability standards are met in all work performed by position
  • Active participation in Management of Change (MOC), Unusual Incident Report (Unusual Incident Report) or IR (Injury Report), Hazops and other process safety requirements
  • Leading a culture of continuous improvement in department by encouraging and giving suggestions, ideas and use of RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and design
  • Help elevate and maintain best practice Standards for installations
  • Support the preparation of the project scope and estimates by providing engineering and technical input in conjunction with client requirements
  • Monitoring budget & schedule compliance and trend tracking for capital projects under management
  • Consider Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Precision Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance and Six Sigma during the design and execution of all capital projects under supervision
  • Pursue minimum total cost of ownership in design of capital project by balancing lowest life cycle cost vs. lowest installed cost.
  • Ensure all modifications/additions to equipment, drawings and data sheets are captured in appropriate databases and project files, preventative maintenance program as required after completion of projects is recorded and entered into the asset management system (MEX)
  • Complete project closeouts and handover to operations
  • Translate operational and business needs into clear process engineering design requirements.

Could This Be You?

You’re Tertiary qualified in Engineering and bring extensive experience in manufacturing equipment reliability and a strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).

You have a strong scientific approach to solving problems, the ability to make data-based decisions, and you’re comfortable working in a team environment with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
