We’re on the lookout for an engaging Civil & Structural Project Engineer. In this role, you will responsible for the review, verification, and sign-off of civil and structural designs, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and statutory requirements, while managing the end-to-end delivery of civil and structural capital projects within our Pipe Road Major Hazard Agchem Facility (MHF).
The role combines technical authority with project management leadership, including scope development, contractor coordination, safety compliance, technical bid evaluation, and delivery assurance across brownfield and greenfield environments and provides the opportunity to be seen as the expert in your field!

How You’ll Help Us Grow
- Act as a client-side civil & structural engineering authority for projects.
- Ensure alignment with company engineering standards, asset integrity requirements, HSE, and lifecycle cost considerations.
- Review and approve of as-built documentation and engineering handover packs.
- Support the management of change and required documentation for implementing projects.
- Review, verify and sign-off civil and structural designs in accordance with Australian Standards (AS / AS/NZS), NCC, WHS (MHF) Regulations, and site Safety Case.
- Manage engineering risks, design deviations, and concession requests.
- Participate in HAZID / HAZOP / Design Risk Assessments where required.
- Lead and manage civil and structural projects from concept through handover.
- Develop and control project scope, budget, schedule, risk management, stakeholder management and change management.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces and manage brownfield execution.
- Develop SOW and technical work packs for MHF environments.
- Support commissioning, pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR), and operational readiness activities.
- Lead technical bid evaluations, design reviews, and contractor coordination sessions.
- Manage consultants and contractors.
- Review and approve designs, submittals, RFIs and technical EOTs.
- Ensure compliance with WHS Act & Regulations, Safe Work Codes, and Site SMS.
- Review and approve of SWMS, methodologies, and ITPs.
- Act as a key interface with operations, maintenance, SHE, procurement, and project controls teams
- Liaise with regulators (EPA, WorkSafe), certifiers, and third-party reviewers where required.
Could This Be You?
You’re a proven and strategic Civil or Structural Engineer demonstrating extensive experience within civil and structural engineering project delivery across MHFs/ Chemical Processing Plants. You have an in depth understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and WHA. RPEV or Project Management qualifications are a distinct advantage.
You’re a natural hands-on leader who can drive and influence change, and you bring others along the journey. You comfortably build relationships and trust with internal teams and have excellent communication skills.
