We are looking for collaborative and team-oriented Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering Team at Pipe Road, Laverton North. In this role, you will be performing predictive, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance on equipment across our plant. How You’ll Help Us Grow

• Ensure that required work has appropriate Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety & Environmental Analysis (JSEA), Take 5, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Management of Change (MOC)

• Perform duties and work assigned on daily schedule to a high standard in 5S, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

• Work will include machining, piping/ equipment installation, centrifugal and air diaphragm pump overhauls, dry break coupling overhauls, mechanical seal overhauls, valve/ gearbox overhauls, pump alignment, PVC piping.

• To take ownership of workload and through communication with supervisor and complete maintenance jobs ensuring efficient use of resources

• Contribute to a culture of continual improvement by participating/ practising 5S, toolbox meetings or investigations to improve equipment reliability.

• To help maintain records of equipment spares and repairs undertaken using Maintenance software.

• To partake in preparation of pre-work pack before commencing work, ie. scoping, JSEA preparation, job checklists etc. to ensure efficient completion of tasks.

• To ensure the workshops are kept to a high standard of housekeeping and perform 5S audits.

Could This Be You?

You’re a qualified and experienced Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter with demonstrated experience in the Chemical industry or similar (DG Goods/Schedule 14). You’re a problem solver who has a commitment to continuous improvement activities while being safety conscious and you’re well versed in appropriate safety standards.
