West Musgrave will be one of the world’s largest, lowest cost, lowest emissions copper-nickel projects, built and operated by OZ Minerals, a modern mining company.

Our West Musgrave nickel-copper project is located on Ngaanyatjarra country, in the Musgrave Province of Central Western Australia, and includes the Nebo and Babel nickel-copper deposits and the Succoth copper deposit.
West Musgrave, which has a 26-year mine life, will be an owner-operator mining operation and in addition to being powered by ~80 per cent renewable energy, the Project scope includes a pathway to net zero Scope 1 emissions by 2038.
The Project will feature an Autonomous Haulage System and remote operations from day one and our workforce will be a flexible, technology enabled team supported by remote operations to improve safety outcomes and maximise opportunities for flexible working and diverse participation.

About the Role

Roster: 5:2 Monday to Friday

Contract Type: 24 months fixed-term contract

The Details
You will support the delivery of the digital strategy by collaborating with internal stakeholders to define business problems via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information.
In this role, you will lead product ownership, identify improvement opportunities and be responsible for the timely delivery of digital systems. You will work with a lean and dynamic team of internal and external resources within an agile framework.
You will be accountable to program leads associated with the allocated projects.
Key Responsibilities
Successfully deliver a portfolio of projects within a domain of technology and business operation, including:
- Communications, Compute, Storage, Security infrastructure including on site data centres and network
- Business systems including SAP Enterprise Asset Management
- Mining and Processing Systems including Automated Haulage and Fleet Management
- Data Management including Data Integration and Data Governance
- Workforce systems including an Integrated Remote Operations Centre
- Achieve a genuine and deep understanding of the customer needs and challenges, and facilitate the design of customised digital solutions
- Gather, validate and document lean business requirements that obtain business value.
- Collaborate with business owner and vendors to align features and requirements, priorities and releases to operations.
- Coordinate digital projects through full operational readiness and handover.
- Effectively collaborate with team members, following Agile methodology and actively promoting quality and productivity.
- Provide ongoing advice and feedback to the West Musgrave project regarding the implementation of Digital services and equipment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and stakeholders for the delivery of services to the asset.
Applicant Requirements
- An experienced digital professional who has successfully delivered as a product owner and business analyst, projects in infrastructure, mining or business systems, and/or data solutions.
- Ability to understand a complex greenfields ecosystem, linking multiple capabilities, processes and systems.
- Experienced in the delivery of continuous value through Agile frameworks.
- Experience in requirements, selection, product development and hand over to support for major digital projects.
- A dynamic operator working across multiple programs and projects.
- Strong communication skills across a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- A problem solver who finds innovative solutions to meet the immediate demands without compromising future capability of the project or the site.
- Real world knowledge of the mining value chain to collaborate across the project for digital aspirations.
