Your New Role:
This newly created permanent role is responsible for managing and overseeing the asset management governance function as well as ensuring the ongoing reliability associated with failure engineering whilst ensuring corrective and breakdown maintenance is in place for ongoing optimisation. As the Engineering Superintendent you will be in charge of the Preventative Maintenance, ERP Plant Maintenance process experience together with being involved in continuous improvement practices.
Location: Prominent Hill , South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 4 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on 3 days off and 8 days on; 6 days off

How you will create impact:
- By showcasing your extensive leadership, improvement and communication skills in the areas related to important business processes that form part of the OZM Prominent Hill Asset Management System.
- Providing daily leadership of a small team whilst also influencing stakeholders and colleagues across reporting lines to achieve the department objectives, understanding how that contributes to value creation for OZM at Prominent Hill.
- As custodian of key processes, this role will develop reporting tools and monitor the health of the processes and lead the management of any improvement opportunities.
- Leading and coaching others in compliance and performance within the processes that extend beyond a traditional hierarchal reporting structure.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Extensive experience in industrial/mine processing/ infrastructure physical assets, corrective and breakdown maintenance for typical failure modes
- Work Management (Identify, Plan, Schedule, Execute, Review) governance, optimisation and application within an ERP system
- Preventative Maintenance, ERP Plant Maintenance processes experience
- Confidence with the management of external subject matter experts to achieve objectives
- Effective written and verbal communication of technical concepts and processes
- Previous shutdown management and cost control
- RCA and defect elimination knowledge
- Awareness of basic accounting principles including cost management
- Comprehensive engineering judgement and financial justification to achieve set objectives
- Extensive supervisory, team management and strong leadership skills

- Current National Police check (NPC)
- Asset Management Qualifications (highly desirable)
