An opportunity is available for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a high performing maintenance team at one of Pacific National’s key Train Support Facilities located in Greta, NSW. This site is critical to on‑train maintenance, asset provisioning and in‑field support operations.
Maintenance is the foundation of productivity and safety in our business. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will supervise maintenance activities across a 24/7 operation, ensuring safe, high-quality and efficient delivery of maintenance outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise maintenance execution across site and rolling stock to achieve availability, quality and utilisation targets
- Lead decisively in a fast paced, 24/7 operating environment
- Promote the safe execution of work and effective allocation of labour
- Coordinate employees, contractors and competing priorities to safely deliver maintenance outcomes
- Coach, mentor and develop team capability with a strong focus on safety, quality and maintenance standards
- Support and deliver change initiatives aligned to Pacific National’s safety and operational objectives
- Respond to and coordinate infield incidents and recovery activities
What You’ll Bring
- Proven leadership experience in heavy industry, rolling stock, manufacturing or asset‑intensive environments
- Demonstrated people leadership capability, including coaching and performance development
- A strong safety mindset with experience leading safe systems of work
- Well-developed problem‑solving skills and the ability to maintain momentum under pressure
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance execution, fault response and defect management
- A resilient and adaptable leadership style, capable of managing operational disruption
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels
- Experience working in heavy industrial environments (highly regarded)
- Trade or technical background in mechanical or heavy industry operations (desirable)
