An opportunity has presented itself for a Shift Supervisor to join our team in Townsville QLD.

What You’ll Do

Supervise terminal operations and plan freight services to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused outcomes.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise and coordinate a team of operational employees to achieve performance targets
  • Plan and manage arriving and departing freight services, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Oversee train loading activities to maximise capacity and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate daily terminal operations including forklift loading plans and locomotive movements
  • Ensure optimal utilisation of assets and resources across the terminal
  • Liaise with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to support operational planning and service delivery
  • Prepare operational schedules and maintain accurate data in TMS and related systems
  • Proactively resolve operational issues while maintaining safety and service standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience supervising or leading teams in an operational environment
  • Strong planning and coordination experience, ideally within logistics, transport, or freight
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including MS Excel
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of personal accountability and commitment to safety leadership
  • Rail operations experience desired but not critical
