About your new role
As a Terminal Operator, you will join Pacific National's Intermodal team based at Sydney Freight Terminal in Chullora. Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight across Australia's rail network while supporting daily terminal and train operations.

What you will do
Prioritise safety in every moment, safely every day.
- Assemble and dismantle freight trains, including marshalling and shunting rolling stock
- Load and unload containers using forklifts and other load-lifting equipment, including dangerous goods freight
- Conduct train examinations, brake testing and minor defect rectification activities
- Process freight and operational documentation using terminal systems and digital platforms
- Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, operational performance and customer service while keeping all required competencies current.
What we’re looking for
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
- Mechanical aptitude and basic computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Ability to successfully complete rail safety medical and pre-employment assessment requirements
- Previous rail industry experience, including shunting, train examination or terminal operations, will be highly regarded
