As a Major Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward, collaborating with top-level customers, and solving critical challenges in our customers' secure environments. We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.
Your Impact
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers at enterprise-level customers to understand their unique cybersecurity challenges and business objectives
- Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor and strategic partner to address their cybersecurity needs effectively
- Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies to drive revenue growth, meet sales targets, and maximise customer satisfaction
- Present innovative cybersecurity solutions and value propositions tailored to specific customer requirements, effectively articulating the benefits of Palo Alto Networks products and services
- Collaborate with our technical experts and solution architects to design and propose custom cybersecurity solutions that align with customer needs
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and successful deal closures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape to maintain a competitive advantage in the market
- Serve as a proactive advocate for customers within Palo Alto Networks, ensuring their feedback is heard and acted upon to drive continuous improvement in our products and services
- Champion a customer-first mindset within the organization and promote a culture of excellence in customer service and satisfaction
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales engineering, marketing, and product development, to align efforts and achieve common objectives
Your Experience
To excel in this role, you'll bring your enterprise B2B SaaS sales expertise, showcasing your success in selling complex solutions and employing consultative sales techniques. Your technical aptitude will enable you to grasp how our technology effectively solves business problems. We value problem-solving skills and encourage data-driven approaches to identify root causes and provide scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success as an Account Director or a similar role in the cybersecurity industry, with a focus on enterprise-level sales
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity solutions and technologies, including firewalls, next-generation security products, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Strong business acumen and the ability to identify, pursue, and close complex, high-value deals with enterprise customers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively
- Strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing customer challenges and recommending innovative solutions
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities, with a proven ability to navigate and close deals in a competitive environment
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred or equivalent military experience required

We understand the value of collaboration and believe that working together fosters casual conversations and those magical moments where we can tackle challenges and explore new ideas informally. These moments strengthen our capabilities, deepen trusted relationships, and empower our employees to take risks and drive disruptive innovation. While we are constantly evolving, our current plan is to have office-based employees come together four days a week, with one day dedicated to remote work.
