We are now accepting applications for the EHS Technical Manager position, a fantastic 18 Months opportunity to join our EHS Team based in Sydney or have the flexibility to be located in Brisbane or Adelaide. You will be reporting directly to the EHS & Sustainability Manager. Your role will be responsible for leading core EHS programs whilst developing and driving ANZ Technical process safety management.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement MESS agenda for ANZ, ensuring compliance with local laws and PepsiCo standards for both existing and new equipment.
  • Manage CU reporting across regions and sectors by coordinating with all sites, focusing on EHS alignment and GEHSMS coordination within MESS Systems & Compliance Governance for ANZ.
  • Lead the ANZ SLAM team, conducting monthly reviews with key SCLT members to drive strategic alignment.
  • Drive ANZ-wide design reviews integrating MESS, ergonomics, PepsiCo centerline, and MOC to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Implement ANZ process safety management, hazardous energy compliance, electrical safety programs, explosion prevention, and fire protection measures.
  • Support investigations into incidents (L1 and L2), HiPo, LTI, MTBFA, and RIR, providing analysis and recommendations on EHS matters.

About you

  • Accredited machinery/equipment safety qualifications (preferably TUV2 in Engineering, machinery/electrical)
  • Proven success in project management and planning
  • Health & Safety related qualifications
  • Expertise in MESS/equivalent equipment safety standards
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (including report writing and oral presentations)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
  • Proficient in time management and implementing change
