In this role you will provide specialised security advice, intelligence and analytics to enhance security operations.

You will utilise strong analytical and communication skills in a highly sensitive role, leveraging business technology to conduct security assessments and investigations for Gold Corporation.

Here you will also provide comprehensive Security Operations support, process improvements, and the implementation of key initiatives and projects

This is a permanent full-time opportunity.


Your role as a Specialist Security will involve:

  • Identify and provide security advice and intelligence on emerging global security risks, issues and trends to enhance existing security risk management, to support decision making and best practice and to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and reviews to ensure Gold Corporations security risks are managed
  • Analyse and interrogate security data, including CCTV to monitor trends, for investigations and to provide recommendations for improvements
  • Assist in security reviews, analyse intelligence data, and identify areas for improvement across all sites
  • Oversee security planning and risk assessment for Perth Mint events, functions, dignitary visits and coin fares held locally and internationally
  • Conduct corporate travel risk assessments and monitor corporate travel security through software application
  • Oversee The Perth Mints alignment and reporting requirements as required by the countering foreign interference framework issued by Department of home Affairs
  • Oversee the maintenance and administration of electronic security systems, ensuring effective operation and integration
  • Prepare security-related technical documents, including project briefs, plans, and security specifications
  • Maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal obligations and best practices in security
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the safe and secure transportation of precious metals
  • Support security clearance processes, including liaising with internal departments to ensure compliance with National Police clearance guidelines
  • Oversee the compliance and certifications with the known consignor scheme security program and radiation safety management for x-ray equipment
  • Oversee the maintenance and certification of security equipment, including X-ray machines, radios, metal detection wands, and Ion scanners for explosive and narcotic detection
  • Assisting with security project work including planning and implementation
  • Develop and maintain a schedule of internal audits and inspections for Security Management Systems


Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in security related discipline, law enforcement or equivalent industry experience
  • Security licence or ability to obtain
  • ASIC white card or ability to obtain
  • Demonstrated experience assessing and applying security risk management in a high security environment
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and provide advice on emerging security issues and trends
  • Demonstrated communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience with technical document development and analysing data
