🕒 6-month contract with flexible hours.

💰 Competitive salary of $111,000 base, plus Super!

About Us:

Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.

The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. Our purpose is ‘to bring the wonder of precious metals to the world’.

There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for someone who can step in quickly, with an immediate start for a 6-month, full-time role based in our East Perth office.

This is a hands-on internal communications role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the roll out of a refreshed Internal Communications Framework across the business. Working as part of the Corporate Affairs team, you’ll help coordinate and implement initiatives across content, channels, governance, and stakeholder engagement - ensuring communication is clear, consistent, and aligned to our broader strategy.

You’ll be involved in both the planning and execution of key initiatives, supporting the delivery of Phase 1 and Phase 2 implementation plans. This includes introducing improved planning processes such as content calendars and publication schedules, supporting the rollout of new tools and templates, and helping embed consistent communication practices across the organisation.

You’ll also contribute to the refresh of internal channels, including the intranet, newsletters, and manager communications, while working closely with stakeholders to strengthen how information is shared across teams.

This role offers a strong mix of coordination, content, and stakeholder engagement, and is well suited to someone who enjoys bringing structure and clarity to internal communication in a fast-paced environment.

About You:

You have experience in internal communications, public relations, or a similar role, and understand the role effective communication plays in supporting engagement and business performance.

You’re highly organised, with strong attention to detail, and are confident managing multiple priorities - whether that’s coordinating content, maintaining schedules, or supporting governance processes. You’re comfortable working across a range of communication channels and can contribute to improving how they are used.

You communicate clearly and professionally, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation. You’re proactive, reliable, and take ownership of your work, with a focus on delivering consistent and high-quality outcomes.

A degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline is ideal, however your practical experience, organisational skills, and ability to support effective communication delivery will be key to your success.

Our Benefits:

  • Competitive salaries and employee discounts
  • Flexible work options available
  • Opportunity to work for an endorsed WORK180 employer
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Opportunities to be part of our wide and active range of Employee Resourcing Groups: Reconciliation, Gender, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), Disability, Mental Health and Neurodiversity, and Perth Mint with Pride
  • Charity and volunteer initiatives
  • Health and wellness programs, including an Employee Assistance Program, ongoing wellbeing initiatives, and workplace community building spaces
  • Our full list of benefits and why we are recognised as an Endorsed Employer for Women by WORK180 can be seen on the WORK180 website

It’s easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don’t see yourself as the perfect fit. If this role feels right, no matter your background or personal circumstances – please submit your application.

Applications close on 15 May 2026. The Perth Mint reserves the right to close applications prior to this date.

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia and pass our national security check.
