Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a motivated and technically strong Tax Manager to join our Tax Advisory Group.

The role

Join a leading tax advisory team where you’ll gain exposure to a balanced mix of compliance and advisory work across corporate tax, international tax, transactions, governance and tax controversy matters. Working with Partners, Directors and a diverse client base, you’ll enjoy challenging work, strong client contact and genuine opportunities for career progression.

  • Provide practical advice on corporate restructures, tax consolidations, international tax, tax governance, employment taxes and other complex tax matters.
  • Support clients through transactions, due diligence, mergers, acquisitions and growth initiatives.
  • Build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities to deliver strategic value beyond compliance.
  • Review work prepared by team members and provide coaching, mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Manage workflow, engagement profitability and client deadlines across multiple engagements.
  • Collaborate with Partners and Directors on complex advisory and strategic tax projects.

Experience that will set you apart

The following experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential:

  • Advising corporate groups with turnover exceeding $50 million.
  • Experience working with Significant Global Entities (SGEs).
  • Tax effect accounting and tax reporting.
  • International tax matters, including Pillar Two, CFCs, hybrid mismatch rules and thin capitalisation.
  • Exposure to acquisition due diligence and transaction support work.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for an experienced tax professional who combines strong technical capability with outstanding client service and leadership skills.

If you meet most of the criteria but not every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you:

  • A degree qualification and completed CA or CPA qualification.
  • CTA qualification or a Master of Taxation (or currently working towards one) will be highly regarded.
  • 5+ years’ Australian corporate tax experience gained within a Big 4, mid-tier or reputable chartered accounting firm.
  • Strong tax compliance and advisory experience across corporate and private groups.
  • Proven ability to research complex tax issues and deliver clear, commercially focused advice.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term trusted relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting technical advice and presenting solutions to clients.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing junior staff.

Why join us?

  • Work with great people
  • Join a collaborative and supportive team that values your wellbeing, development and success.
  • Accelerate your career: Work directly with Partners and high-profile clients while building expertise across complex tax matters.
  • Flexible, people-first culture: joy flexible working, 18 weeks paid parental leave, and a range of wellbeing initiatives.
