About the team
This is a specialist role within our Business Advisory & Assurance (BA&A) division. BA&A is the largest Division within the Pitcher Partners Melbourne office and focuses on providing assurance and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients across a broad section of industries, particularly focusing on small to medium public companies and privately owned businesses.
About the role
The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist plays a key role in supporting the professional development of junior staff, particularly in the areas of audit and accounting. The L&D Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering engaging learning content, facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions, and providing frontline support for learner queries. The L&D Specialist will also be involved in limited client engagements to maintain practical skills and knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging learning content focused on audit and accounting fundamentals for junior-level staff.
- Facilitate interactive training sessions (face-to-face and online) and provide ongoing support for learner queries.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials, while maintaining and updating resources to reflect current standards.
- Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, materials preparation, and participant communication.
- Gather and analyse feedback to recommend and implement improvements for training effectiveness.
- Act as a key point of contact for L&D queries, providing guidance on learning pathways and escalating complex issues when required.

- Related tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business or another related field and experience in professional service environments.
- CA/CPA qualified or near completion.
- Passionate about learning and development, helping others and facilitating training sessions.
