When you join Pitcher Partners, you’re joining a team with heart. We support each other. We learn together. We’re deliberate about fostering relationships that nurture and empower every individual.

And we’re excited by what’s possible. We know some of the best new ideas come in the form of curious, talented people we haven’t met yet. Perhaps you’re one of them.

About the team

The Outsourced Finance team is an integral part of the Business Advisory & Assurance division of Pitcher Partners Melbourne. Our team, consisting of around 40 employees, provides end-to-end finance and administrative services to a diverse clientele spanning various industries, including renewable energy, infrastructure and asset management, retail, finance and technology.

By working closely with our clients, we gain valuable insights into their businesses, allowing us to guide them through strategic decision-making and goal realisation. We also connect our clients with other areas of Pitcher Partners, ensuring they receive the right guidance precisely when they need it.

About the role

In this role you will manage the end-to-end bookkeeping requirements for a portfolio of clients, including problem-solving accounting and technology issues and assisting clients with cloud-based application solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely processing of payroll, accounts payable and receivables, maintaining general ledgers, cash flow forecasting and management reporting.
  • All aspects of banking, including preparation of workpapers and month end reconciliations.
  • Preparation of periodic Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, and other statutory returns.
  • Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Being able to consider and problem solve any issues that arise.
  • Assisting with cloud-base services and disbursements.

Who we’re after

Here are the key qualifications, skills and personal attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all, we’d still encourage you to apply. Other capabilities you have may make you the perfect fit for the role, and we can work on filling the gaps together.

  • Previous bookkeeping, AR/AP or accounts administration experience.
  • Familiar with relevant software (examples include Xero, QuickBooks and MYOB) and can maintain ledgers.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring that accounts prepared are accurate, whilst demonstrating the ability to effectively managing conflicting tasks.

Our commitment to you

At Pitcher Partners, we support you to lead your way with tailored development programs, study assistance, and secondment opportunities.

You can enjoy flexible work arrangements, generous leave options, and wellbeing initiatives including mental health support and onsite wellness activities.
