We are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join PKF North Queensland's Audit team.

Our broad client base, which includes over 20 publicly listed companies, ensures our audit division is up to date with accounting standards, ASIC, ACNC and ASX reporting requirements and adheres to the strictest quality standards.

This job is for our North Queensland office, which would require you to be located in Townsville. We are open to relocation and those needing visa sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

Duties will include:

• Working closely with Partners and the management team to ensure client work is completed to a high standard
• Executing audit engagements ensuring key deliverables are met
• Direct client communication for the planning and preparation of fieldwork and completion of financial statements
• Invoices, billing and work in progress analysis for portfolio of clients
• Supervising of junior staff on larger engagements
• Mentoring of junior staff in the audit team
• Travel to and from clients around Australia as and when required
• Participation in firm internal and external training sessions

What you need to apply

The ideal candidate will:

• Have completed an accounting degree (BCom or BBus)
• Have a minimum of 3 years' audit experience
• Be CA qualified or be well advanced in completing the CA program
• Display great communication skills and be able to establish long lasting relationships with clients
• Be able to work independently or as part of a larger engagement team
• Have a sound knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing standards
• Be able to control the audit process from planning through to completion
