What will you be engaged in?
As a Designer - Parametrics, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the design and delivery process. You will:
  • Want a career that is focused on this part of the architectural design process, with a view to helping us build this capability and capacity into the future.
  • Develop and explore design ideas through Rhino, supporting project studies and conceptual development, with a focus on helping progress our seating bowl expertise
  • Produce diagrams, drawings, and perspectives that communicate design intent with clarity and creativity
  • Collaborate with senior architects and designers, learning from an experienced, multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in design discussions, bringing a curious, problem-solving mindset to complex challenges
This is a role where you’ll actively contribute to exciting, high-profile projects while continuing to refine your design and technical skills.
What are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • A Master’s degree in Architecture (or equivalent).
  • 3 - 4 years’ professional experience within an architectural practice delivering outcomes and outputs of a similar nature.
  • Strong proficiency in parametric design (Rhino essential).
  • A strong design sensibility and ability to translate ideas into compelling outputs.
  • Competence in Revit for project documentation and an understanding of how AI can be used to help drive designs forward.
  • Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills, with an eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic design studio and regional set up.
  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with other consultants to get the best design outcome.
  • A proactive, open-minded approach and willingness to take on new challenges and provide solutions.
  • An enthusiasm for exploring new design technologies and methodologies within both a self-driven and team environment.
At Populous, we’re not only looking for technical skills but also for people who share our passion for creating places where communities come together.
We design the places that bring people together — and we know that happens best when our own team reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We encourage people of all identities, abilities, and lived experiences to apply and join us in shaping the future of design.
Send us your CV and portfolio and come help us design the places that bring people together.
