About the role
This position plays a pivotal role in advancing our firm's Unreal Engine delivery for large scale architecture projects and associated workflows.

This role involves close collaboration with regional and project leaders, global team members, internal and external stakeholders to champion best practices and support consistent, high-quality delivery across our projects.

About us at Populous
At Populous, our teams design the places where people love to be together. From stadiums and arenas to convention centres, airports, mixed-use developments, and entertainment precincts, we have delivered many of the world's most iconic and community-defining projects.

With projects spanning Asia, Australia, Europe, and the Americas, we bring global expertise and local insight into every design. Our Brisbane team is central to this network, delivering impactful projects locally and across the region with a focus on sustainability, innovation and community.

Why Populous
We don't consider ourselves just another architecture and design practice. At Populous, we believe our strength lies in our people and their diversity of experiences. Across APAC, our team represents over 35 nationalities, and we actively celebrate and support this.

We provide our people with:
  • The opportunity to lead projects of global significance in Brisbane and across APAC
  • A collaborative international network of experts and design leaders
  • Career development opportunities, including leadership training, mentorship, and global mobility

  • Work using Populous systems and workflows, following our structured content libraries, environment setups and file/data exchange methods
  • Produce high-quality assets - hard surface 3D models and materials/textures in line with our global standards

  • Support the production of training documentation and standards for our procedures

  • 2+ years experience in architectural visualisation or creative industry studios
  • A degree in visual communication, 3D animation, game development or similar are highly regarded
  • Experience with producing high quality outputs using Unreal Engine 5, including the creation and usage of Blueprints
  • Experience with building interactive environments and associated UI/UX overlays
  • Experience in creating high quality 3D models, materials, texturing and lighting
  • Experience in the production of quick animations and stills in the engine
  • Dataprep and/or coding experience is preferred
  • Outstanding communication skills and a team-oriented mindset that encourages effective collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
  • Awareness of emerging technologies, such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and their potential applications for architectural presentations is preferred
