About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Site Manager to join our busy and growing Utilities & Infrastructure team. Our projects are located across the eastern seaboard of Australia so the base location of this role is flexible, including Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
In this business-critical role, you will be responsible for managing & leading projects on site for BEON Energy Solutions to ensure agreed project deliverables & targets are achieved.
The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent communication, planning, time management and stakeholder management skills, as you will be required to establish and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders over the course of the project lifecycle. In addition, this person will also have a strong commitment ensuring safety standards and procedures are always adhered to throughout our projects.
**A willingness to work on sites away from your base location is a requirement of the role. Common rosters are 10/4 however a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster is also in place on occasion**
What you will deliver:
- Provide effective site leadership and management ensuring that the desired outcomes of the projects are delivered in accordance with customer and project scope
- Ensure the effective utilisation of resources and that all works undertaken are in accordance with regulatory requirements, company practices, processes and standards
- Lead multi-discipline teams of employees and contractors
- Collaborate and coordinate with key internal stakeholders including engineering and commissioning teams
- Implement a safe working culture at all levels and ensure all health & safety policies, procedures and practices are clearly communicated and always followed
- Assist in the preparation, evaluation & issue of tenders for construction, major plant and/or materials
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Current Trade or tertiary qualifications in electrical or building/construction trades
- Current certification and qualification in the electrical distribution and transmission field, electrical or construction trade qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of the construction practices particularly as they relate to the electrical distribution, sub-transmission, transmission and/or infrastructure industry with a working knowledge of technical standards, construction practices and OH&S
- Proven ability to apply construction management principles, preferably in an electrical distribution, sub-transmission, transmission and/or infrastructure environment
- Significant experience with Substation Construction
- Completion of management, leadership, commercial or similar program is preferred
