About the Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced Project Controller to join our Major Projects team in a full-time permanent role. Please note the location of this role is flexible.
The role itself will be responsible for driving project control functions to enable an optimal, transparent and risk-managed delivery of the project needs and expectations. These project control functions include cost control, scheduling, contract management, quality control, data integrity and issue tracking.
What you’ll deliver:
- Support the development and maintenance of project plans and cost management
- Analyse and maintain schedule integrity and logical consistencies, including tracking schedule baselines and milestones, and having a valid and current critical path
- Preparation of tender and contract documentation for execution
- Facilitate monthly review meetings with key stakeholders to report and review time, cost, gate status, risks, opportunities and any escalations
- Processing and payment of invoices, invoice reconciliation, co-ordinating and registering accruals
- Management of milestone progress claims
- Management of time and cost variations for contractor and suppliers
- Identification of contractual risks and opportunities
To succeed in this role you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Project Management
- Proven ability to apply project management and control principles on major projects
- Experience working in a project team environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues at different levels across the business
- Experience in project planning tools (eg, MS Project) and SAP
