About the role:

We are currently looking for an experienced SAP Security Specialist to join our IT Security Operations Team based at our Market Street CBD office on a full time and permanent basis.

This will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our network and applications within our database management system. In addition, this role will play a key role in the analysis of the stability and efficiency of the user interface, authorise data access, and perform audits and quality checks.

The successful candidate for this role will have an extensive background in SAP Security and have the ability to identify opportunities for change and continuous improvement. In addition, this candidate will have a key eye for detail, be a team player and passionate about providing excellent customer service to stakeholders.

What you’ll deliver:

  • Incident Management including conducting Investigations on user reported access incidents to determine root cause and recommend solutions
  • Support user, account administration and maintenance as well as authorization management
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the BAU ticket request queue
  • Process SAP Security changes as required
  • Firefighter responsibilities; including the administration & table maintenance for GRC and monitoring security audit logs for unauthorized access attempts

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computing Science of equivalent
  • SAP Security and Authorisations Training
  • Extensive experience in a similar SAP Security role
  • Ability to implement SAP Security concepts and strategies, including Role design, use of Profile Generator, Authorisation Objects, and operational administration
  • Ability to manage security access across multiple landscapes
  • IT General Controls
  • In-depth knowledge of security and administration concepts across BW, HANA, Fiori, Solution Manager, Fiori, ERP, including HR Position based security
  • Ability to manage small projects
  • Knowledge of critical Segregation of Duties and audit compliant requirements across Financial impacting systems
