About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity for two Works Delivery Officers to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Works Delivery Team Leader this position will be based in various regional locations.
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate update of technical dependencies and coordination activities required for the works program delivery.
You will be a key member of the Works Delivery team and are expected to assist and add value to process improvement and communication.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Ensures dependencies and/or non-availability required to execute planned field works (Resources include internal and external resources, speciality equipment and / or fleet as appropriate, skills, tools and system access) are confirmed or booked as identified by the Works Delivery Co-ordinator (WDC)
- Ensures that dependencies are managed and released in a timely fashion for Works Dispatch and field execution and resolves exceptions and re-bookings as required
- Monitors, understands and escalates (as appropriate) impacts to works delivery programs should key dependencies exceed expected deliverable
- Liaise with key stakeholders to obtain approval for proposed variations
- Ensure post work exceptions, updates and reporting are forwarded to relevant stakeholders
- Contribute to a culture that is focused on workplace continuous improvement
- Negotiate and confirm with key stakeholders or external parties modified processes, systems or project related outcomes
- Contributes to regular reporting and information forums to review work programs and project progress
- Maintains the accuracy and integrity of all information contained within the work program
Required skills and experience:
- Successful Completion of VCE or Certificate III in business administration
- Previous experience managing and identifying field works delivery dependencies
- Good document management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise time critical outcomes
- Working knowledge of the electricity distribution network
