About the Role:
We now have a permanent and exciting opportunity for a Senior Modelling Analyst to join this business-critical team and be part of a wider supportive and collaborative team.
In this role you will be primarily responsible for managing the company connections offer models which are used to make connection offers to our customers, assist in developing the long-term strategy for connections modelling and provide related connections modelling, documentation and analysis for various other purposes. You will also be responsible for analysis, reporting and modelling for the annual budget process and the 5-yearly regulatory reset, working closely with key stakeholders across the business.
Using your past experience in a similar quantitative role, and your highly developed analytical and financial modelling skills, this role is a great opportunity to make your mark in our business.
What you’ll deliver:
- Deliver and plan all connection model recommendations and their resultant implementation, as well as conducting analysis to support decision making
- Build requested enhancements in the existing connections model, and manage the documentation guidelines for this function
- Update the connections model inputs as required to ensure that modelled costs are based on up-to-date cost inputs and that the model inputs are compliant with regulatory requirements
- Manage reporting and budgeting in this space, as well as working with stakeholders to scope out changes and ensure best data capture
- Conduct analysis to provide customer contribution forecasts for the 5 yearly regulatory reset, including financial modelling for the regulatory reset
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- A tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, finance, economics or similar
- Solid working experience in a similar role using highly developed analytical skills, strong experience in building financial models, and strong communication skills to share this information and insight
- Advanced / expert excel skills, high attention to detail and problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet competing deadlines
- Ability to work in a team, and high stakeholder and communication skills
