About the Role:
There is a permanent full-time opportunity for an OT Infrastructure Solutions Specialist who specialises in the design of OT network and solutions ensuring our OT networks remain secure and robust.
OT Infrastructure Solutions Specialist will be responsible to provide specialist technical leadership in the selection, design, definition and development of business IT/OT solutions. The position is responsible for ensuring secure, scalable and sustainable designs and technical approaches to maximise business value through the most efficient IT spend.
What you’ll deliver:
- Develop end-to-end solution designs for IT/OT infrastructure, including the creation of option analysis, solution architectures, technical specifications, impact and risk analysis, estimation, and resource planning as required with a strong focus on cybersecurity
- Provide the Network IT Projects domain with an overarching design assurance capability with a focus on realistic use of effective technologies
- Set Network IT project standards in infrastructure, IT/OT architecture and integrations. Also, Work closely with the Network IT project teams to support project start-up and delivery
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on infrastructure requirements to traditional IT departments (Architecture, Infrastructure, Comms, Security)
- Lead the technology direction of Network Technology Infrastructure including the intersection of onsite, cloud, mobile, social, and information.
- Lead the investigation and implementation of emerging technologies in either an R&D or production capacity.
- Provide support and conduct maintenance improvements for applications where agreed
To succeed in this role you’ll have:
- Degree qualification in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Detailed working knowledge of networking technologies (IP, associated communication protocols and routing/ firewalls).
- Understanding of IT/OT infrastructure (physical/virtual servers, other network based physical assets).
- Strong knowledge and passion of future technology trends and emerging IoT protocols and standards.
- Significant experience in IT system support/development/architecture/design/implementation.
- Experience with real-time/SCADA systems and utility control rooms.
- Experience in liaising with, interpreting requirements, and delivering changes to business departments
