About our Apprenticeship Program:
Applications are now open for our Apprentice intake, commencing in January 2024.
As an Apprentice Lineworker your main role will be to construct and maintain overhead and underground electrical lines and structures. You will also respond to, and rectify, network faults to restore supply our customers, along with undertaking metering & servicing tasks to connect new customers.
Our Apprenticeships run over a four-year period, combining formal TAFE study and paid field work to enable you to gain the skills, competencies and experience required for an industry recognised trade qualification (Certificate III – ESI Distribution Overhead).
To be eligible, our Apprenticeship program pre-requisites are:
- Year 11 pass in Mathematics; or
- VCAL or VCE Vocational Major; or
- Currently completing (or completed) a pre-apprenticeship TAFE training course in Electrotechnology (Cert II)*.
*If you are currently completing a pre-requisite subject, you are eligible to apply, as long as it has been successfully completed by the end of the 2023 academic year.
