About the role:
This role is responsible to establishing, maintaining and managing operational records, drawings, databases and information systems directly associated with the operation of the electrical Network.
It provides and updates accurate GIS connectivity data which is crucial for the DMS/OMS system model and directly impacts on business reliability data. This is essential for managing the electrical network and business risk which is critical to Control and Operations.
What you’ll deliver:
- Provide a full range of Operations GIS services relevant to electrical network system.
- Co-ordinate the update of data from "Proposed" to "In Service" within GIS and associated databases in agreed timeframes.
- Audit and maintain the data captured into GIS and associated electrical network record systems to ensure connectivity and data quality standards are maintained for OMS and DMS.
- Maintain and take responsibility for the integrity of the DMS schematic model.
- Interprets information from various sources to accurately create and update jobs for the purpose of maintaining the electrical model in DMS.
- Utilises Power On Fusion to accurately create patches and/or use direct edits to create and update the DMS HV diagram.
- Manage Network Operations DMS/GIS procedures to ensure accurate data entry for electrical network system.
- Operations AutoCAD Drawings & Records.
- Responsible for drawing management System within their appropriate document management systems.
To succeed in the role you’ll have:
- Certificate of Technology (electrical / drafting) or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Good working knowledge of GIS, DMS, SAP, EDNAR and interfaces; AutoCAD and Vault
- Good electrical Network Knowledge
- Knowledge of the Operational requirements of DMS
- Extensive experience updating GIS, DMS, EDNAR & AutoCAD
