Powerlink Queensland is a leading provider of high voltage electricity transmission network services and plays a central role in connecting Queenslanders to a new energy future. As part of this, we are planning and delivering a large number of major projects, including renewable energy developments, across Queensland.
You will be using your mapping, analytic and visualisation skills in an internal consulting role within the Spatial & Delivery Analytics team. This role will focus primarily on supporting the spatial specialists in daily jobs associated with spatial data and mapping processes.
About the role
Working in a team of Spatial Specialists you will support the team in developing and delivering solutions for your internal customer base to support business activities. You will use FME to transform and analyse complex data and develop ESRI maps and Portals that support end users in the business to make data driven decisions.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Supporting the Spatial Specialists
- Working with internal stakeholders to develop business requirements
- Extracting, transforming and analysing data
- Creating ESRI ArcMaps that incorporate good visual design principles
- Creating ESRI Portals that enable the business to utilise spatial information
- Producing business centric reports that convey complex concepts in a clear manner
- Reporting on information/data related risks, issues, solutions and controls.
- Recommending changes to make business processes more efficient

About you
You have current work experience in supporting spatial processes and procedures. And working within a team of specialists delivering core spatial solutions. Ideally you have relevant experience with FME and ESRI suite of products (or similar tools).
You like working in an environment where there are opportunities for cross functional co-operation and providing exceptional customer service. Your attention to detail is one of your strengths and you use that skill to produce quality technical solutions. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment and know how to prioritize and self-manage changing priorities. You have the confidence to speak up when required and to provide suggested improvements and enhancements to processes.
