Job Summary
Powerlink Queensland, Queensland’s high voltage transmission network provider, currently has a career opportunities for experienced Designer – Drafter and Senior Designers to support the design of allocated transmission line engineering projects.
If you are an expert in Electrical Systems Design, mainly in the areas of Transmission Line design and drafting we need your expert design advice in the following:
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the Electrical Systems Design team members.
- Undertake the lead design role on allocated primary transmission line design projects.
About the role
You will be responsible for the successful design delivery of a number of Powerlink's projects you will manage and ensure that the specific design objectives are achieved. This involves all aspects of the primary transmission line design including monitoring scope, budget, schedule, quality, procurement, resources and risks.
Critical to your success will be to collaborate with other design functions to optimise the design solutions and operate effectively across different functional groups and stakeholders.
About you
You are recognised in the industry as an expert in primary transmission line design.
You completed an Associate Diploma level qualification in ideally Electrical Engineering plus have relevant and significant experience in Transmission Engineering Design Drafting (Electrical Primary Systems).
You are an excellent communicator and manage your time effectively to achieve tight design deadlines in a multi-functional project environment.
