Job Summary
We currently have a permanent career opportunity to plan and manage the Telecommunications and Data Network testing and commissioning as part of allocated transmission network projects.
You will plan and manage all Telecommunications and Data Network testing and commissioning activities across the wider project lifecycle in order to deliver Powerlink’s infrastructure works program.
About the role
In the role of the Telecommunications Project Commissioning Manager you will provide Telecommunications and Data Network testing and commissioning expertise for Powerlink projects.
- You will prepare and manage all Telecommunications and Data Network testing and commissioning activities for allocated projects, incl. commissioning schedules, staging- and test plans.
- You will manage and validate all Telecommunications and Data Network technical specification portions.
- You will ensure the Telecommunications and Data Network Outages are managed effectively with regard to safety and efficiency.
- You will lead the telecommunications test and commissioning team during the project
About you
- You will be Tertiary degree level qualified in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent experience in the delivery and commissioning of telecommunications infrastructure.
- You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing, managing and executing test and commissioning plans to support the Commissioning of Telecommunications systems and Data Networks.
- You are recognised in the industry in providing telecommunications advice to operational or project delivery teams within medium to large technical organisations
- You have experience in planning and organising detailed engineering projects, ideally in a Telecommunications system and Data Network environment
- You demonstrate the ability to develop strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders
