As a Project Officer, you’ll help find clever logistical solutions to interesting project material problems as you grow your skills every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know. Here’s how:
In this role you will provide logistical and materials support to the project delivery teams in order for them to deliver the best project outcomes for Powerlink.
- You will support the optimisation of primary and secondary materials and equipment delivery requirements in line with the overall project delivery schedule
- You will provide timely logistical support and advice to the project team
- You will minimise project delivery and materials management risk
In addition to this you will:
- Provide project management logistical support through SAP and other systems as key management tools.
- Provide materials management advice and training to the project delivery team
- Develop and maintain an extensive network of relationships both within the corporation design, construction, maintenance, operations and Supply Chain Services.
- Support coordinating and management of primary and secondary systems material and equipment delivery requirements in line with the overall project delivery schedule
- Support coordination and management of recovered materials and equipment including those which are to be re-purposed as spares.
- Assist in the development of processes and systems that support project materials logistics, for both new and recovered materials and equipment.
What you’ll bring
You have demonstrated experience in providing logistics delivery and execution support and advice to large engineering project teams in the analysis and reporting of timely commercial support and advice, allowing them to maximise financial and operational performance.
You will be able to demonstrate success in:
- Managing and coordinating project materials delivery requirements on multiple sites in accordance with relevant standards, policies and procedures and project delivery schedule.
- Ensuring project logistical requirements are well planned, co-ordinated, controlled and executed throughout the project life cycle
What you will need:
- Significant experience effectively enabling the primary and secondary system materials coordination, delivery and management
- Reporting progress, risk mitigation and management to agreed project delivery schedules
- Demonstrated experience in providing logistics and project materials management advice utilizing material management systems, ideally SAP
- An appropriate advanced technical diploma in a relevant field, or extensive project support experience combined with a relevant diploma level qualification
