Our customers are the core of our business, as we strive to connect Queenslanders to a new energy future. As the Account Director, your role will be to manage and further develop the relationships we have with existing and potential customers.
As an Account Director, you will manage a select number of key customer accounts. By developing comprehensive account management plans, you will identify key drivers and information that will facilitate the delivery of customer requirements, along with the associated work required to develop and augment the transmission network in Queensland.
You will achieve this by:
- Developing and executing customer account management plans
- Being the key customer point of contact within the business for nominated accounts
- Developing and implementing nominated market segment strategies
- Establishing strong and trusted relationships with new and existing customers
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects and delivery of solutions that satisfy customer requirements
- Assisting with the development and implementation of a Business Development market penetration strategy
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the energy transmission sector
- Sharing industry insights and best practices with customers to deliver the high quality results
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this position you will hold degree qualifications in Business, Engineering, Economics, Legal or a related discipline, ideally supported by an MBA or similar applicable post graduate qualification.
You can apply your depth and breadth of knowledge and bring innovation and your leading-edge practice to solutions. You are customer focussed, collaborative in your approach, have commercial acumen and have the capability to develop strong working relationships.
You will demonstrate experience or the proven ability in:
- Significant Business development including market analysis, customer account management, identifying and securing project/business opportunities and realising these through building positive customer relationships
- Understanding customer needs, scoping and estimating works and developing proposals that return a positive revenue outcome, using commercially negotiated contract terms
- Develop network business services that are marketable, identifying and analysing potential markets and customers, and promoting these services effectively by using unique selling propositions to gain new customers
- Partner with senior business representatives to negotiate specific terms and conditions of contractual arrangements
- The application of contract law principles, legislation, rules and legal guidelines relevant to the obligations of an energy or utilities entity
- Co-ordinating complex technical projects within commercial contract delivery criteria
