Are you passionate about driving strategic decisions through financial insights? Powerlink is seeking a motivated Commercial Business Advisor to join our team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping our strategic and operational goals by providing invaluable commercial analysis and advisory support
The role of Commercial business advisor will;
- Provide senior leaders with essential financial and commercial analysis to enhance decision-making and support the achievement of organizational goals.
- Collaborate on defining and establishing financial metrics that drive optimal performance, ensuring alignment with Powerlink's objectives.
- Interpret industry and competitor insights to influence key strategic decisions, aiding in long-term planning and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain intricate financial models for informed decision-making and long-term planning.
- Support external stakeholder interactions, ensuring Powerlink's interests are optimized.
- Develop market-based intelligence to identify opportunities for the business to adapt to emerging opportunities, priorities, and challenges during the transition to clean energy.
- Design and create performance dashboards within Power BI to be enable better decision making.
- Build effective relationships with senior leadership, contributing valuable financial planning, analysis, and advisory services.
What you’ll bring
You will need a bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, economics, engineering, mathematics, data science or another related field to succeed in this role.
We prefer candidates who have experience in applying analytics and data science methods, including visualisations, to improve decision making.
As a candidate with excellent communication skills, you will be able to work well with different teams in the business and have an impact on decision-making.
