The opportunity:


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team and assist in the development of property access schedules. This role involves providing both technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of land access, working closely with the project team throughout the process.

In this position, you will be responsible for offering specialist support to facilitate the cost-effective delivery of approvals and tenure acquisition projects. You will assist Project Managers by liaising with subject matter experts and arranging essential meetings to ensure the success of various tasks. Your role will also include supporting preliminary project investigations, providing project management assistance, and conducting detailed technical analysis of transmission line corridors and potential substation sites.

You will contribute to the development of transmission line route selection, assist in the implementation of easement acquisition strategies, and help manage related activities. A key part of the role will be assisting with the preparation of Ministerial Infrastructure Designation applications while also identifying and managing the administrative risks associated with legislative processes.

Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and effectively communicating property access schedules, playing a key role in the implementation of environmental, cultural, and construction-related activities and surveys on the ground.

The people you'll join:

The Property team is critical in enabling the development and execution of new projects while also ensuring the optimal management of property for our existing infrastructure.

You will be part of a dedicated Property team, based in Virginia, in the Major Projects division delivering critical support to Major Projects deliverables.

What you'll bring:


Relevant Certificate IV qualification in business, property or project management or a technical field such as engineering, survey or land management; or, a relevant combination of experience and/or training.

We’d also love you to have:

  • A high level of understanding of issues relevant to route investigation, selection and approval processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of land tenure and an understanding of environmental constraints, cultural heritage and native title matters, community engagement and government expectations.
  • An understanding of contractual mechanisms commonly used to secure property rights and interests.
