About the Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Handyperson to join our team, responsible for general maintenance activities for a critical facility management contract. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to preventative maintenance within the expansion of a high-security correctional facility, focused on prisoner health and rehabilitation to support safer communities. In this role, you will be responsible for the completion of preventative & general maintenance through ‘find and fix’ inspections.
This permanent, full-time role is based in Gatton (QLD) and will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and ensuring alignment with contractual, financial, and safety requirements of general maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs across the facility.
- Use and maintain tools, machines and equipment.
- Follow strict safety protocols and work in a high-security environment.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring hands-on experience in general maintenance and repairs, a passion for quality workmanship, and a strong commitment to safety for yourself and those around you. Additionally, you will have:
- Current driver’s license
- Experience and familiarity with a variety of tools for repairs and maintenance
- A professional approach to the workplace
- Proven ability to deliver high-standard work
- A solid understanding of and commitment to quality, environmental, and OH&S management systems.
