Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at Sunrise Dam, supporting maintenance across village and site facilities.
Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster out of Perth, this is a permanent, long-term opportunity ideal for technicians looking to move away from project or shutdown work into a stable, structured maintenance environment.

The Opportunity
As an HVAC Technician, you’ll be responsible for delivering maintenance across air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems throughout village and facility infrastructure.
This role offers a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive work, ensuring all systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational in a FIFO environment.
You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team, working under the Maintenance Supervisor alongside other trades to deliver a high standard of service across site.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on HVAC systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive servicing
- Maintain systems across accommodation, kitchens, amenities, and common areas
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults within HVAC equipment
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and compliance standards
- Support minor installations, upgrades, and improvement works
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reporting
- Identify and report defects, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to meet operational requirements
About You
You’re a qualified HVAC Technician with experience in maintenance environments, ideally within FIFO or remote operations.
You’re reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in delivering consistent, high-quality work in a structured environment.
You will have:
- Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- Valid Refrigerant Handling Licence (RAC01)
- Previous FIFO or remote site experience (required)
- Experience in facilities, building services, or maintenance environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- A proactive, team-focused approach
Requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Current National Police Check (valid within the last 3 months)
Desirable:
- Dual trade (HVAC + Electrical)
- WA Electrical Licence
- LVR/CPR
- Working at Heights & Confined Space
- High Risk Work Licence (e.g. EWP)
Location Requirement:
Candidates must be Perth-based (or able to commute to Perth for flights) or reside in Kalgoorlie.
