About the Role
We’re looking for an experiencedForeman Painterto join our Rotorua team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced painter who is ready to take the next step — leading a team, coordinating day-to-day work and helping deliver high-quality projects for our customers.
You’ll play an important role on site, working closely with the Supervisor and team to make sure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard.
You will:
- Lead and support a team of painters on customer sites
- Coordinate daily painting activities and allocate work to team members
- Ensure preparation and painting work is completed to a high standard
- Monitor productivity, materials, quality and project timeframes
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe work practices are followed
- Work closely with Supervisors, customers and other stakeholders
- Help ensure projects are delivered within agreed budget, quality and time requirements
- Take pride in delivering a great result for our customers
About You
You’ll be an experienced painter who enjoys taking responsibility and getting the best out of a team.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience as a painter, with experience leading or supervising a team
- Has strong knowledge of painting preparation, application and finishing
- Takes pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Has excellent health and safety awareness
- Is organised and able to coordinate multiple priorities
- Communicates well with team members, customers and stakeholders
- Is reliable, practical and solutions-focused
- Has a trade qualification in painting — desirable but not essential
- Wants to continue developing their leadership and management skills
