The Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our NSW (Wollongong) team as a 1st year Apprentice HVAC , based in Unanderra . Working closely with experienced Trades, Supervisors and other Apprentices you will gain valuable skills & knowledge to ultimately secure your licensed trade qualification.
As an Apprentice HVAC technician, you will learn installation, repair and maintenance of various systems and will have exposure working in industrial and commercial environments on various manufacturing and process sites. This will include gaining skills in interpreting prints and schematics, installing equipment to a standard, fault-finding and commissioning systems from split systems to Heavy industry ducted systems, plus more. Your week will incorporate learning your trade at Tafe and receiving on-the-job training.
We will invest in you over the four-year apprenticeship so you can continue your career with us as a qualified Tradesman and provide you with opportunities to progress your career with potential to move into Leadership roles.
Skills and Experience
- Motivation to succeed and a willingness to learn;
- Values team work and has a positive attitude to working in a safe and productive manner;
- Ability to follow direction with excellent attention to detail;
- The ability to listen and understand customer and company requirements;
- Commitment to building a long term career;
- Completion of Year 10 or equivalent;
- A current Driver’s License is preferred, or preparedness to obtain a license.
- Completion of a relevant pre-apprenticeship course is advantageous, but not essential.
