The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as a General Services Employee - Waste, Luggage and Logistics . Reporting to the Manager - Support Services, this role is a live on position based on Rottnest Island. There are also opportunities for candidates that do not wish to live on the island.
Our General Services employees are responsible for Waste Collection, Luggage and Logistics services across the island. This is a busy and dynamic role where no day is the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Use of plant and equipment, including rear lift waste compactor trucks, forklifts, luggage tow motors, hook lift skip truck.
- Collection of crates of guest luggage, sorting, packing and delivering to accommodation units
- Collection of departing guest luggage and delivering to ferry services
- Assisting with events equipment delivery and collection
Skills and Experience
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with practical experience within a busy logistics or warehousing environment
- Have a current High Risk (forklift), Medium Rigid or High Rigid drivers license
- Have very good verbal and written communication and be professional and confident
- Be fit and able to pass a medical and musculoskeletal assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
