The Role
We are seeking a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel (depending on the experience of the candidate) to join our Property Services division and provide legal support on a fixed term basis (12-18 months) while one of our valued team members is on maternity leave. We're open to candidates with preferences for both full time or part time hours (0.8 FTE or 4 days), allowing you to have a meaningful impact at work, with the flexibility to balance your passions and personal life.
The role is based in new offices in Melbourne’s CBD with the opportunity for hybrid/flexible working.
About You
We are open to considering a range of candidates and recognise that the right attitude and skills are more important than specific experience. Ideally you will have at least 3 years’ PQE and will need a current legal practicing certificate in Victoria.
Other skills / experience which will assist you in the role include:
- experience negotiating and drafting contracts;
- experience in general corporate law, construction law or procurement / leasing;
- strong communication skills;
- exceptional stakeholder management skills and a pragmatic and commercially focused mindset; and
- a willingness to learn new skills.
