Programmed Facility Management is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team delivering facilit management services for a large-scale social housing contract. This role involves effectively managing and monitoring subcontractor WHS performance to guarantee the safe and timely completion of all required tasks, meeting both the business and client quality standards. This permanent, full-time role based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, plays a crucial part in cultivating our ‘Zero Harm’ culture and contributing to important services for the community.

Key Responsibilities
-
Ensure employees and subcontractors possess necessary skills and knowledge for equipment operation.
-
Assess OH&S resources and requirements before work commencement.
-
Champion implementation of Programmed’s HSEQ and Risk Management policies.
-
Promote and develop a safety culture across the business.
-
Ensure timely completion of compliance-based requirements.
-
Audit completed works to meet client Quality Standards.
-
Ensure adherence to ITPs and industry standards.
-
Provide guidance on safety methodologies and conduct on-site audits.
About You
To be successful , you will have experience in a safety focused role for facility management, building maintenance services or a similar industry. A background in OH&S and experience auditing and worker’s compensation. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude, natural ability for people engagement and passion for excellent service delivery.
Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

Tertiary qualifications in WHS/OH&S management

Trades qualification desirable, not essential

Knowledge and ability to interpret WHS legislation, policies and procedures

Current driver’s license
-
Experience in facilities management, building trades/services or similar industry desirable, not essential

Strong communication skills
-
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
-
Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
